How To Know It’s Time to Go to Therapy

Deciding to go to therapy or counseling is a huge decision. It requires a readiness to change that is more powerful than the desire to keep the status quo. Everyone’s feeling of readiness to reach out and seek support is unique to their own personal journey.   9. You are struggling to set boundaries
  10. You are struggling to identify and meet your own needs
  11. You are experiencing grief or loss
  12. You are going through a significant life change/transition
  13. You desire healthier relationships
  14. You are struggling to navigate conflict
  15. You use avoidance instead of dealing with problems
  16. You are struggling with your relationship to alcohol or drugs
  17. You want to process and work through previous trauma or traumatic events
  18. You are unhappy in your relationship(s)
  19. You struggle with negative self-talk and/or intrusive thoughts
  20. You want to work on boosting confidence and self-esteem
  21. You experience passive or active thoughts of self-harm
