Frequently Asked Questions

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a mode of mental health treatment that involves talking through stressors and concerns with a trained mental health professional. It has been shown to aid individuals in coping with an array of mental, emotional, and even physical challenges. When engaging in psychotherapy with a provider that you trust, it has been shown to increase life satisfaction, enhance well-being, improve communication and relationships, and help individuals heal from trauma and loss.

How long can I expect to be in therapy?

The length of treatment is different for everyone and depends on your unique therapy goals. My focus is always on helping you feel relief as soon as possible and helping support you for as long as you need.

What form of payments and insurance do you take?

We are not in-network with insurance companies and believe this helps tailor your treatment to your specific needs and allows you to remain in control of your care at all times. All appointments are considered fee-for-service, meaning you are expected to pay for the appointment at the time of service. All fees are discussed and agreed upon prior to starting services. We accept debit, credit, and health savings cards.

While we are not recognized as an in-network provider, we provide documentation to help you use your out-of-network benefits to be reimbursed by your insurance company. We encourage you to speak with your specific insurance plan regarding your benefits if you have any questions, as we cannot set nor guarantee any reimbursement amounts.

If you choose not to use your insurance benefits or are uninsured, you are required to receive a good faith estimate outlining the estimated total cost of treatment you could be charged. For more information on this, as well as your rights under the “No Surprises Act,” please review the disclosure below.
